Time Series Diagnosing Analysis for the Fatigue Crack of Large-scale and Heavyburden Supporting Shafts

Li Xuejun,Bin Guangfu,Wang Yuqing

Strategic Study of CAE 2006, Volume 8, Issue 4,   Pages 50-53

Abstract:

Because of the unobserved sudden fatigue failure of the large-scale and heavyburden supporting shafts, the normal product line is affected seriously. Based on analyzing the relation ship between this type of supporting shafts construction characteristics and vibration signal characteristic, the model of the vibration signal is established by the method of time series.Residual (σa2) and normal residue square sum (NRSS) are adopted to identify the fault state, and the degree of supporting shafts' fatigue crack is diagnosed effectively. The result of experiment shows that the method of time series using σa2 and NRSS as the index to diagnose the fatigue crack of large-scale and heavyburden supporting shafts is more sensitive and effective than the normal method using time-frequency domain of amplitude, and has very strong practicability.

Residual stresses in coating-based systems, part I: Mechanisms and analytical modeling

ZHANG Xiancheng, WU Yixiong, XU Binshi, WANG Haidou

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2007, Volume 2, Issue 1,   Pages 1-12 doi: 10.1007/s11465-007-0001-2

Abstract: Thin films and multi-layered coatings comprised of different classes of materials are often used for various functional devices. The thermo-mechanical integrity of these systems is becoming a major concern and is strongly related to the residual stresses because of the fabrication processes. In this paper, the sources of the residual stresses in the coating-based systems and the concept of misfit strain were briefly reviewed. Analytical models were developed to predict the residual stresses in multi-layered film structures or coating-based systems using the force and moment balances. In addition, the residual stress distributions in the func tionally and compositionally graded coatings were also analyzed.

Taking Warning from the Eastern Part Elegant Landscape Maturing Slowly——On Landscape Architectural Developmentin the Western Part of China

Strategic Study of CAE 2000, Volume 2, Issue 10,   Pages 56-58

Abstract:

First of all, it is necessary carried out comprehensive national land planning and individual design from the high plane of harmonious sustainable development between man's production and natural environment.

The essence of cities at present should be an environment for human settlement and living. The relation between urbanization process and natural environment is neither to diametrically oppose nor to damage each other. The image of the city is not only buildings and streets but also a mix of cities, architecture and natural environment, i.e.an artificial beauty merging into nature. Man's bright future will be to put cities and buildings into green environment.

The most important thing for construction of scenic and historical places and city parks and gardens is now to protect the natural resources of the site. It is wrong to follow limelight from others. Each city should creates its own feature from local natural environment and cultural tradition.

Elegant landscape will mature slowly. Great thing always gets a late prosperous termination of an affair.
